Mobile Legends South-East Asia Cup 2017

Hello everyone !!

On 1-3 September 2017, Mobile Legends : Bang Bang (MLBB) held a really big event, MSC 2017 in Mall Taman Anggrek, Jakarta. Having played the game for quite some time now, I was ecstatic when offered to cast on the huge tournament. The players are consist of 8 teams from 5 different country, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore. The prize pool total was US$ 100,000!!! It was also broadcasted on YouTube (50k live viewers, say wutt??) and Facebook. If you can't come and see the event for yourself, no worries coz I have the event report here for you.

Let's start, shall we?

This is what it looks like from the caster table, I was at the very end of the venue on a slightly higher level booth. There are 3 tables there, for English, Thai, and Bahasa cast. I got the Bahasa cast and holy sh*t, my voice is all over the venue!! I can call the crowd to cheer and scream together!! That was so awesome.

I casted with Frans Volva, a game streamer and also senior caster on Indonesian E-sport. He was such a funny and awesome guy to work with. He describes the war on a very exciting manner, while I mostly talk about strategy, game analysis, player roles and profile, and so on.

There are also freebies and activities that the attendees can get from the event. Near the casting booths, there are a booth that gives away in game voucher and merchandises only by registering your information. I also took an instant photo at the green screen area for free.

I met some girlfriends I often met at events too!! The gamers and (almost) everyone on the gaming industry was coming. It was nice talking to them.

I Do Not Sleep from Thailand won First Place with $50,000. Second place goes to Salty Salad from Philippines. While their match was quick, it was fun to watch. IDNS won 3-0 in less than 10 minutes per match with their surprisingly unique draft, using Estes and Lolita as support. It's sad that the Indonesian team, Saints Indo and Elite 8 have to lose early at the tournament. I hope that they will learn and rise better next time. (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑
